Case Conference
Occuring 1-2 times per month, an interactive, multidisciplinary conference between the Emerging Center and the Supporting Center to discuss complicated transplantation cases at both centers.
Presentations
Invited lecturers present on a wide array of topics of mutual interest to both centers.
Site Visits
The SC will host the EC for annual visits and will share its practices and processes with the EC to improve the care of patients with liver disease in Costa Rica through the observation UCSF's pre-transplant evaluation and selectin processes, intraoperative techniques and post-operative care.
Additionally, senior SC leadership will visit Costa Rica and continue to engage the Ministry of Health to develop a robust, policy-driven organ donation and allocation system providing maximal value to the Costa Rican population.
