Costa Rican Team Visits UCSF

 

The University of California, San Francisco in partnership with Hospital Mexico, San Jose, Costa Rica are inaugural recipients of the The Transplantation Society-International Liver Transplantation Society's Paired Transplant Centers Program grant. This joint venture between TTS and the ILTS aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two transplant centers. 

During the course of this multiyear partnership, both transplant centers will focus on improved and standardized protocol driven preoperative, perioperative and postoperative care of patients; cessation of the coercion of living liver donors; and the development of a robust, policy driven organ donation and allocation system.
